A cemetery where 700 Confederate soldiers are buried, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the Confederate States of America, are also on the picturesque grounds.
The fully restored 1853 house and pavilions contain furnishings that are mostly original Davis pieces. History “buffs” will enjoy the Beauvoir-Jefferson Davis Shrine in Biloxi, the historic last home of Jefferson Davis, the only president of the Confederate States of America. Antebellum homes and time-worn stucco cottages, framed by massive oaks draped in moss, can be seen in the older parts of the city.
